Data Server DSP point-of-sale terminal

The data server combines two basic functions:
1. Control function of the parking and access control system with the option of service and user setting, and remote control of the system’s individual components.
2. Function of a point-of-sale terminal including balances, and statistics, and also sales, authorisation and blocking of all types of tickets.

Software - GPP  

The GPP parking system software uses the Windows 2000/XP operating system that provides a user friendly environment and allows easy and comfortable control of the system by a LCD touch display or by use of a keyboard and mouse.
The data acquired during the car park operation is stored in the SQL Sybase Anywhere relational database. This allows quick access to the required data. The system records all significant events that have impacts on the running of the car park.

Software

The application program for the car park attendance consists of 3 basic software modules:
1) The GP Basic System is the basic software which includes the communication with hardware, the connection with the database and the application software modules.
2) GP Cash contains cash register and management functions.
3) GP Report software for the creation of surveys and statistics.

The GP Cash software module contains basic cash register control functions of the parking system that can be divided into several groups:

  • The cash register functions: accepts all types of cards for payment, calculates balances, discounts, extra charges, VAT, sales transfers, etc.
  • A group of rates for short-term/long-term car parking, daily and nightly discounts, free exit and congress rates.
  • The card administration further contains e.g. the following functions: information on a card, blocking/unblocking of cards, extension of card validity, card owners, groups of cards, etc.
  • The system users and their rights of access along with the ways of logging onto systems.
  • The administration of scanning and saving pictures and their processing inclusive of comparisons are also important as well as many other functions.
  • The GP Report program module is a special module for the creation of statistics and reports. It facilitates the formation of any sets of data stored in the database.
  • The GPP Localization enables the whole system to be formatted into different languages.
